When people hear bachata, they usually think of tradition. When they hear R&B, they think of soul, emotion, melodies, and storytelling.

For us, the music has always lived somewhere in between.

Growing up in Puerto Rico, we were surrounded by rhythm from every angle — bachata, reggaetón, salsa, R&B, hip-hop, Caribbean music, and everything in between. None of it felt separated. It was all part of the same world. Over time, that naturally became part of our sound.

That’s why we never approached bachata from a completely traditional perspective. We were inspired by the emotion and storytelling of R&B just as much as the rhythm and feeling of bachata.

The melodies, harmonies, vocal textures, and emotional approach all came from influences that went beyond one genre.

At the same time, we never wanted the music to lose its roots.

Urban bachata, to us, isn’t about replacing tradition. It’s about expressing where this generation comes from musically. The culture evolves. The sounds evolve. The stories evolve.

That’s what “Rhythm & Bachata” represents for us.

A blend of:

  • R&B soul

  • Latin rhythm

  • real stories

  • and the emotion behind the music

Songs like “Lo Tenías Callao,” “Serenata,” and “Chacha” each reflect different sides of that identity. Some lean deeper into bachata. Others pull more from R&B melodies and textures.

But emotionally, they all come from the same place.

At the end of the day, we’re not trying to force genres together just to be different.

We’re simply creating music that feels honest to who we are, where we come from, and what shaped us creatively.

This is only the beginning of the story behind the music.
